delaney is one!
My has the time flown by!? Delaney Grace Kirkpatrick is officially 1! I can't believe it! Nathan and I have had fun reminicing the day that Delaney was born! We were so ready for her to come! We tried every trick in the book to speed things up but she had a mind of her own...not much has changed ;) What a special day that was meeting our beautiful daughter for the first time! She has changed our lives forever and we feel so incredibly blessed!
Delaney was able to spend her birthday with our dear friends Jenna, Loren and Hadley! We spent a beautiful day at the zoo together! Delaney loves animals and enjoys pointing at them and making growling sounds! It is so fun to see her growing up and really interacting with the world around her! Later that evening we had a small birthday celebration with a few friends. She loved eating pizza, opening her presents and playing with the fun paper! She was not too interested in her cupcake. She looked at it like, "what in the world am I supposed to do with that?"
We were able to spend the following week in Iowa with the family! It is always so great to be together! Lily, Delaney, Bailey and I shared a special 1st, 4th, 30th and 29th birthday party together! I made the girls matching outfits and they looked darling together! Delaney loved seeing all of her family! She loves showing that she is one by holding up her pointer finger! And this time she did eat her cupcake!! I am bummed that I don't have more pictures to show right now but I will add more later! Another highlight of the week was riding bikes as a family!! Delaney loved it!

celebrating nathan's new endeavors and mini vans!
Nathan just completed his last day with Excell Marketing! Now he is officially pursuing his graphic design career solely! This is very exciting and freeing for Nathan and our family! We are excited to see where God leads Nathan in the future!
Delaney is growing so quickly! Lately she has become more and more independent! She likes to explore and crawl all around. As long as she knows mom or dad are close by:) She loves giving open mouth kisses which melt my heart and bring me so much joy! She is working on clapping, giving high fives, and standing on her own. She is talking more and more these days in her own little sweet language. She loves to gurgle and make funny noises with her throat:) I can hardly believe my baby girl is almost 11 months!
Another exciting happening at our house is our new mini van! Thank you Mom and Dad for the extremely generous gift! Dad drove out here about a week ago to bring the van to us! He left at his typical 4 in the morning time and arrived here at 11:30am! Delaney and I enjoyed our short but wonderful time with Papa! We drove down to Colorado Springs for the afternoon and visited Glen Eyrie and the Castle! It was so fun to think back on all the wonderful memories that were created there! Then we ate dinner with Nathan and drove Dad to the train station. We feel so very blessed by the Lord and our family!

a day at the park...
Today after church we went to the park! It is pretty great that we can go to the park in January. One of the many things we love about Colorado! Delaney loved the wood chips! Not a big surprise...ha! Nathan loved pretending that Kirby was a child. Not too sure what Kirby thought of all of this?! It is so fun to spend time together as a family!
