celebrating nathan's new endeavors and mini vans!

Nathan just completed his last day with Excell Marketing!  Now he is officially pursuing his graphic design career solely!  This is very exciting and freeing for Nathan and our family!  We are excited to see where God leads Nathan in the future!
Delaney is growing so quickly!  Lately she has become more and more independent!  She likes to explore  and crawl all around.  As long as she knows mom or dad are close by:)  She loves giving open mouth kisses which melt my heart and bring me so much joy!  She is working on  clapping, giving high fives, and standing on her own.  She is talking more and more these days in her own little sweet language.  She loves to gurgle and make funny noises with her throat:)  I can hardly believe my baby girl is almost 11 months!

Bath time!!

Another exciting happening at our house is our new mini van!  Thank you Mom and Dad for the extremely generous gift!  Dad drove out here about a week ago to bring the van to us!  He left at his typical 4 in the morning time and arrived here at 11:30am!  Delaney and I enjoyed our short but wonderful time with Papa!  We drove down to Colorado Springs for the afternoon and visited Glen Eyrie and the Castle!  It was so fun to think back on all the wonderful memories that were created there!  Then we ate dinner with Nathan and drove Dad to the train station.  We feel so very blessed by the Lord and our family!

a day at the park...

Today after church we went to the park!  It is pretty great that we can go to the park in January.  One of the many things we love about Colorado! Delaney loved the wood chips! Not a big surprise...ha!  Nathan loved pretending that Kirby was a child.  Not too sure what Kirby thought of all of this?!  It is so fun to spend time together as a family!

a taste of florida!

Our trip to Florida with the family was so fun!  We joined up with Nana, Papa, Buers, Tim and Helena in Tampa.  We enjoyed the following day at Disney!!  Delaney LOVED it!  We were able to go to Epcot first with Papa and Tim and then we joined up with the Buers and Nana at Magic Kingdom!  The highlight for Delaney was watching the fireworks!  It was so magical!  We then drove down to Pompano Beach where we spent the rest of our vacation!  Thank you Nana and Papa!  Such a wonderful vacation!

 A dream come true!

i am doing this...

I decided that today is the day I am going to start blogging!  I am realizing my baby girl is growing up so fast and I want to document her growing up better.  So this is my attempt to try to get more organized!  Nathan and Delaney bring so much joy to my life!  Nathan has just decided to move forward with his design career and has made the big step of quitting his Excell job to focus on design!  Very exciting and I am so happy for him!  He is so talented and I can't wait to see where God uses him in the future.

Sweet Delaney is my best friend.  We spend all day together and I still can't get enough of her!  Today we went to book babies at the Park Hill Library.  I had so much fun reading and singing with her and watching her interact with other little babies!  Then, because it was so beautiful we walked to the park and   I pushed D in the swing...she was all smiles and giggles!

Delaney's favorite things right now are

  • Reading books
  • Crawling all around the house and playing with things that are not really toys...like cardboard boxes:)
  • She loves dancing with mommy and daddy
  • Playing with her best friend Kirby (he is so great with her...surprisingly!)
  • Her blanky
  • Sucking on wooden puzzle pieces
  • Waving
  • Peek-a-boo
  • Pulling herself up on things
  • Feeding Kirby her food (Still not interested in food)
Miss D has two teeth coming in on the bottom.  I told Nathan tonight that I want to freeze time for awhile because it is going by all too fast!
